NQT Programme

The PTSA can act as an appropriate body for your NQT induction year.  Our Primary NQT Programme includes sessions covering areas of development that are linked to the teaching standards, these sessions are delivered by a range of outstanding practitioners and include opportunities to work with colleagues in different school settings.

We offer a supportive network of highly experienced colleagues who can coach, motivate and inspire ensuring that your induction year is completed successfully.

The PTSA offers mentor training focused on evidence based target setting, report writing and evidence towards Teacher Standards ensuring that mentor have full knowledge and support aiding NQT’s to meet Teachers’ Standards by the end of their first year.

NQT Appropriate Body

The PTSA is an accredited Appropriate Body and will liaise and complete the necessary administration on your behalf.

This includes:

  • Registering the NQT with the PTSA and the Teaching Agency
  • Maintaining termly assessment reports
  • Final decision making based on satisfactory completion of the NQT year, drawing on recommendations from the Headteacher and School based Mentor.
  • Notifying the Teaching Agency

Throughout the year, we will offer half termly training sessions covering the following areas:

  • Teaching and Learning  – Core subjects
  • Behaviour For Learning
  • EYFS
  • Assessment and Data
  • SEND
  • Mentor Training

There are 2 tiers of support available, according to your needs:

Tier 1 Support – NQT Appropriate Body

£240 per NQT. The PTSA will act as the appropriate body for your NQT, here we will support in the registration of the NQT and submission of the termly forms

Full Tier Support – NQT Appropriate Body
As with Tier 1, with the addition of 6 CPD sessions delivered from members of our alliance. £650 per NQT.
